About Us

Miasma Belly Dance - Establishing themselves as a tribal belly dance performance duo in 2005, Angela and Katrina have been teaching American Tribal Style (ATS® ) Belly Dance in Launceston since 2007, and both attained ATS®  Teacher Certification in 2009, under instruction from Carolena Nerricio of Fat Chance Belly Dance (USA - www.fcbd.com ).

Since starting out as certified ATS® teachers in 2009 Miasma Belly Dance have created and maintained a vibrant ATS community in Northern Tasmania, and our student troupe Ekstasis regularly perform at local belly dance ‘haflas’ and feature in many community events such as the Diversity Street Festival, the Body and Soul Festival and many others.

Miasma Belly Dance is proud to be a sister studio of Fat Chance Belly Dance in San Fransisco, part of a world-wide network of ATS®  dancers and teachers!
